OK, I know I go on a bit out using gaming keyboards and mice so as to use their programmable G-Keys to provide a one click trigger of functions in Photoshop and other apps (I don't play games). One thing that frustrated me was that LGS (Logitech Gaming software) was not as good as Razer's Synapse software at auto detecting the active app and switching to the relative device profiles.

Take that device to a Lan Party and still have a profile to use even if the PC you are using does not have G HUB installed.
Logitech have put out a beta version of new software called G-Hub, and it has no problems in that respect.I have only been using it for a day, and I am fining it less intuitive than LGS, but it seems to be more powerful. I could easily get LGS to assign a web link — like the Photoshop Troubleshoot, or the OSX Known Issue pages we paste into forum answers every day — to a G-key. I 'think' we can still do this with the Macro option, but only by typing in a character at a time, and I don't know if we can make them paste as hyperlinks.G-Hub has a restricted list of supported devices at this time.

I switched to a G502 from the G602 I have been using for a few years, so no problems. I notice that JJ's G13 keyboard is not supported, but it's no hardship as LGS does much the same thing as G-Hub.There is bugger all information out there right now. You can RTFM at the link below, but there are no video tutorials that I can find, and recording macros with G-Hub is not particularly clear. If you are using LGS or G-Hub with Photoshop and want to collaborate, drop me a PM or email (my email is easy to find). JJ there is still discussion on the Logitech forums about a G13 replacement. Most of the comments are from obvious gamers, and they seem to wear them out — one user was on his third! I think us non gamers are much lighter on the hardware, so your G13 is probably not about to die. I'll write off my Razer Orbweaver and get a G13 replacement if it ever appears.BTW One of my favourite features on the G502 is the 'sniper' switch. It is much easier to press than the awkwardly positioned sensitivity switches on the G602, so it is much easier to switch the mouse to fine control for point placement etc. What's the sniper switch?
I use two G502s - no, that's not one in each hand, but on two machinesI have two buttons programmed for sensitivity up/down. I started out with three levels, but in practice I discovered I only needed two: normal (99% of the time) and 'going in for the kill' (mostly pen tool handles and points, and some intricate masking). Is that what you mean?added edit - what I really like about the G502 is the extra metal pieces you can put into the base plate. I did them all. This gives an extra inertia that I really like. Most mice feel too plasticky lightweight to me. I still have a small issue with the main left click button.
I'd really like to put some extra weight into that too. The sniper button is the one in front of your thumb the one very easy to use. It either shifts button functions or mouse movement rate depending on the profile.
Logitech seem to keep one reinventing the G502 thet at least three versions. I picked foe its size was about the same as my old Microsoft intelliMouse Explorer for Bluetooth for I was having lag issues with Windows 10 Bluetooth support for their mouse and was also having problem with my Wife's Dell wireless mouse and logitech wireless mouse so I switched to wired mice on our machines.
WroteAh, got it - thanks. There are so many buttons here I haven't even discovered half of them.Dag I am not able to use LGS with G-Hub installed (the only 'option' is to 'try' G-Hub — this despite the G-HUB FAQ saying it is OK to have both installed) so this is the G-Hub sensitivity screen for the G502 and Photoshop profile (which I had to set up).It is not easy to see in the above screen shot, but there is a white line under 2400 and that is my default DPI in Photoshop. The orange DPI is what the mouse switches to when I press the thumb button (sniper or DPI button). To set that, drag the left most slider to the required speed, and click on the orange diamond. You don't need to do the last bit if it is already orange as above.Note, I originally got into all sorts of difficulties because it automatically switches profiles, and I'd find I was setting it for Chrome when I thought it was Photoshop. This is the macro set up screen in G-Hub. I've already given it a name at this stageI've chosen No Repeat (but can still change that)Just to confuse things, I've changed to Sequence because No Repeat did not give me the options I wanted.Moving forward from here can be even more confusing, and when you make the inevitable mistake, it is not clear about how to fix it without starting again.OK, I'm working this out on the fly, and choosing Text & Emojis I find I can paste in a text string as I could with LGS. It 'has' to be in the clipboard already though.
If I moved focus to another window, the macro would consider itself done and I could not edit the contents of the text boxSo after matching that macro to a G-Key on my G910, I can add it to this thread with a single key. With LGS I could include unicode and paste in an active hyperlink. AFAICT G-Hub does not have that option, but I am working this out as I go. I wonder if Jive will at least make the URL an active link when I post this?htps:/forums.adobe.com/thread/258249EDIT Nope.
Apparently not. I'll see if I can make any sense if I RTFM?
I mentioned back up this thread, that Logitech's new G-Hub software is not particularly intuitive, but through dogged trial and error, I think I have worked most of it out, so ask if something is driving you crazy, and I'll help if I can. I am now able to do what I need to, but I am starting from scratch with a plan. Some shortcuts have changed for instance (I still have a G-key programmed for Repeat Undo) so some of my programmed keys have become irrelevant. Plus my old plan evolved with things added as I thought of them, and it is a bit of a dogs dinner with no grouping by context.I have never made full use of the Razer Orbweaver as I don't like their Synapse software as much as LGS (not sure how to rank it against G-Hub), and I am struggling to think of another zillion functions to assign to it on top of the 9 X 3 of the G910 keyboard, and the 8 on my old G602 mouse. I did not use all of the buttons on the mouse as they were not ergonomically comfortable, but the G502 is a lot better in that respect. I doubt my profiles will be relevant to anyone else, but I am happy to share if anyone wants to use them as a starting point.
(I am assuming you can save profiles). Note: this will probably be a while.G910 keyboard. As well as the programmable G-Keys, you can control each key's back light colour independently. My most useful application of that feature is setting the cursor key colours to match the axis colour in SketchUpG502 mouse. It's wired, has excellent button placement, and is as good as any mouse I have owned. The Orbweaver has a lot of programmable keys, but I think it only makes sense if you have your left hand permanently rested on it so you can find keys quickly. It is not as good for occasionally triggering a Photoshop function, shortcut, Action, macro etc. Because you have to reach over and look for the right key every time you need to use it.
I'd be interested how JJ uses his G13.Logitech G13 (almost impossible to source nowadays, but Logitech might replace it one day. I have a feeling that I would not be able resist buying one if they became available, but I am still not sure if and how I would use it. To tell the truth I do not use the g13 very much. When I do i rest my left hand on it so I know where the keys are but my keyboard skill are poor. My right hand has my Wacom pen or g502 mouse in it.I switch often between the mouse and pen. I map the pen to one display and many palettes on in the display the pen does not cover.A profile can have three set of keys you can quickly switch between with a key press. You can have many profiles you can scroll through.
Applications like Chrome, Photoshop, games can have profiles that can be automatically activate when the application get focus. My motor memory is the pits I don't play games I know I loose. I did do most of Zelda on the switch but had to use my secret weapon(my son) a few time to get past a few parts.
JJ an interesting fact I have come across while obsessing over getting to grips with G-Hub the last few days, is that the benefits of these gaming hardware tools might be irrelevant, because some of the online multiplayer servers ban you for life if they can see you are using macros. I imagine they detect key sequences that arrive at the servers at speeds impossible for even the youngest of players who when not gaming for 15 hours a day, are texting at equally inhuman speeds. On the plus side, this does underline the advantage this hardware can have with an app like Photoshop, but we seem to have agreed that remote keyboards (like the G13 and Orbweaver) are not as advantageous as gaming keys on you main keyboard, and to a lesser extent your mouse.
I still absolutely love all the single key operations I get with the G910, and I am starting to think that three banks of nine keys is enough for most things.BTW It's a long time since I played a proper computer game, but I play Mine Sweeper most days, and I've managed a 1.59 clearance once (Expert). I've just discovered someone who takes using keyboard macros to a entirely new level compared to me, and with a $63 USB dongle thingie. This is a very cool video.BTW I am now more sure than ever that Logitech's G-Hub software has broken Lazy Nezumi. My system is left in a semi functioning mess with hardly any of my macros working after the drastic actions I took trying to fix Lazy Nezumi.
I HATE not being able to reset my workspace with a single key press. Or select LNP presets (not all of which are still working ) And all the other functions that I usually do with a single key press. It's now a matter of manning up, and getting on with the OS reinstall. About Profile switching. I fount the Logitech Phofile switching had provlems if I change the default switching settings I just leave the default in placeThe LCD can show the Profile Names and the third button under its display can lock the current profile where the first two can switch between profiles when a profile is not locked active.I only have three profiles and normally just lock PS CC (G13)I never got arount to modifting their default profile it may be useful for games bot not for what I do.
